I’m not a huge fan of the cold, so when January rolls around I’m mostly indoors. I also naturally start gearing towards healthier snacks after all the holiday binging. Ok, the chocolate could have been more natural, but melting chocolate chips is way easier! The fruit, however, what could be healthier? Anabelle is a huge fan. She will eat oranges for as long as I will peel them. This little dipping station was a fun way to spend some time with Anabelle doing a simple, little indoor activity! And the result, so delicious!

Ingredients:

Fruit! I used bananas, oranges, pineapples, and blueberries. The blueberries actually didn’t work very well, but may have been better if they hadn’t been frozen.

Chocolate

Toppings! I used shredded coconut, salt, and chopped almonds.

Toothpicks for some of the fruit made dipping easier!

Directions:

Ok so part of the fun is that there are no rules, but we really made some delicious combinations! We dipped the pineapple in chocolate and then rolled in the coconut shreds. We dipped the bananas in chocolate and rolled them in the chopped almonds. We dipped the oranges in chocolate and then sprinkled on salt. And we also dipped blueberries in just the chocolate, but they were kind of wet from thawing and the chocolate didn’t stick very well.

Stick them in the fridge till the chocolate has cooled. Then pull them out and feast!
