We spent the day with one of my best friends, the lovely Des and her family today. Des is a fellow Fashion Editor, who currently works at Marie Claire (check out her shoots – they are always full of amazing High Street finds). We met when we worked together at Glamour many years ago, and have been firm friends ever since (I will never forget what an amazing support she was to me when the twins were born at just 31 x weeks). Anyway. Des is one of the few people I know who has unquestionable great taste. So when I saw her new (ish) house for the first time today, I was taking in every detail. Des has a gorgeous two year old daughter called Missy (always beautifully dressed, naturally) and I couldn’t wait to see her new little bedroom. It was totally ‘Des’ – simple, stylish, pared-down, with just a few hints of muted colour dotted here and there. This garland/bunting was hanging (diagonally) across the ceiling and secured with cute striped tape at either end. I loved it immediately. I guessed it might be Numero 74 (a brand that we are always fans of at Little Spree), and was straight online when we got home. The only surprise? The price! Have ordered two for Tabarlow’s room (sorry Des!).
