LFW Day One
My Fashion Week started with an interview at CNBC News.
I chatted about how social media is changing fashion week, the instant access it gives to fashion fans and the incredible exposure it can mean for designers.
The show went out live and all I can find online is a tiny snippet, but I’m sure mum recorded it so I’ll try and sort a copy if you fancy watching me babble away!
After a spot of breakfast I made a quick change into something a little cosier, ready for the day ahead.
Fashion week isn’t quite over yet, but Day One is easily my favourite look!

I ducked backstage at Felder Felder for a sneak peak of the beauty action.
Gorgeous creatures peered at their reflections and tapped away on phones, as teams of beauticians got to work.
In a cloud of hairspray they plucked, brushed, smoothed, polished and painted the young models.
Photographers pushed, shoved and shouted their way through the crowds trying to get their shots.
So I nipped out again pretty sharpish!
Before I knew it, it was time to take our seats. The doors opened and in flooded a crowd of fashionistas, editors, c’lebs, bloggers and buyers.
There was a scrum for seats, but eventually (with the place stuffed to the rafters) lights flashed, music flooded the halls and the show began.
Leggy, glowing models stalked their way through the room in various layers of tule, organza, silk, lace and leather.
I grabbed Lucy and Estelle and we made our way back to the cobbles of Somerset House.
Giggling our way through the swarm of snappers assembled outside.
I fell deeply in love with Pandora’s Chanel letterman jacket.
I met an amazing number of photographers, designers and bloggers.
But by far my favourite bit of fashion week is meeting Londoner readers.
It seems to be a real concentrated pot of you guys and it’s a hoot to meet you all!
It is hands down the best part of blogging.
Although people watching and style stalking is pretty fun too.
You get some real characters at LFW!
And Estelle never disappoints.
After teas, coffees and a handful of meetings it was time to head our separate ways.
Which for me meant popping off to Gyunel’s evening show.
Always a winner, it’s one of the few shows where taking your cocktail through to your seat is actively encouraged!
Before the girls walked, Ella Eyre performed and then joined them on the runway.
^Not the same performance, but gives you a little taster!
The show was in stark contrast to Felder Felder’s. This collection had a post apocalyptic theme, focusing around upcycled fabrics, tailoring, unusual shapes and a dystopian future.
If I ever survive an apocalypse, I can only hope I end up this chic!
Let’s hope the apocalypse doesn’t come too soon, eh?
