CALLING ALL SF FOLK

to any of my readers who are from san francisco, I just wanted to take a moment to give a shout out to a real cool place that I went to a few nights ago. this joint is called trick dog let me tell ya it was a fun time.
so, a lot of the time it's hard for me to write about my favorite places, mostly because I move around from coast to coast so much that it gets hard ( confusing) to document them all. having said that I think it’s time to make an exception.
I ventured over to trick dog bar a few days after it opened there were so many people hungry (but more thirsty?) to try it out that I had to wait a few minutes in line to get in had to excuse my way through the crowd to get anywhere. I was totally okay with this however because my overall experience was a pleasant one.
started by two entrepreneurs mixologists (for the record I find myself avoiding anywhere that people refer to bartenders as mixologists, namely because it seems like the most pretentious label on the planet, but I must say… this duo did the term justice) Josh Harris and Scott Baird known by many as the founders of the bon bibants, after much anticipation have finally open trick dog bar which was originally planned to open about two years ago.
trick dog’s charm can be found in its artisanal cocktails ambient atmosphere. the cocktails are based on the Pantone color scale; which I thought was a great subtle way to set trick dogapart from other bars. I am excited to note that I actually ordered a drink called paper moon (I was sad to find out that the name/color did not correlate to the film) that I liked a lot.

all in all, I will definitely be heading back there soon, if you have the chance you should too.
