Beach Wedding Inspiration in a soft, muted palette

Photographer SARAH HANNAM was inspired by the surroundings of her new home in Cornwall, UK for this editorial aptly titled ‘Tidal’. Surrounded by the sea, the area is known for it’s secret coves, smugglers and shipwrecks and the light is truly special. With it’s landscape of sand dunes, wide untamed beaches and jagged rocks it offered the perfect backdrop for the shoot SARAH had in mind. I adore this muted colour palette for a beach wedding and love the idea that whilst you can still have a relaxed laid back vibe, it can also be timeless and elegant. THE GARDEN GATE FLOWER COMPANY worked their usual magic with some stunning florals – with ROSWARTHA FARM, whilst the gown from LAURE DE SAGAZAN with it’s delicate lace sleeves was a lovely elegant choice.

It is the story of treasures from foundered ships washing up on the beach and into the rock pools that the bride adorns herself with – so the mixed jewels of seed pearls, white tiny shells, amethyst and gold were perfect, as I didn’t want it to look to uniform.
