Daily Make-Up Routine

Yes. I need all these stuff for my face on a daily basis, so I look like a normal person. But it’s not THAT much because it all fits into the little pouch from Louis Vuitton in the back. Actually I just need these products for my daily routine and I have absolutely no idea where all the other tons of lipsticks, powders, foundations, eye shadows and eyeliners come from. I don’t need dark brown lipstick or yellow eyeshadow or a purple mascara. But it’s good to know that you have a lilac mascara at home, right?

Anyway. At the top and bottom of this post you see my basis products. I mastered a special technique for my routine with perfect products over the years, so I get panic when one of these products should no longer be available. And ad I have just learned from their homepage, the La Mer tinted moisturizer is no longer available. Great. We’ll see if I can hunt up a new creme somewhere…

So let’s begin! I always start with a clean face and apply a little amount of moisturizer (Soft Cream by La Mer).

Eyes:

First, I use my Shu Uemura eyelash curler and apply waterproof mascara “Doll Eyes” by Lancome. Yes, I always start with the lashes, which I do, since I’m 18 years old, and will probably never change it.

I remove the mascara residues with a q-tip soaked in eye makeup remover and apply eye shadow base from Too Faced on the entire lid carefully.

I draw a line with the eyeliner “Cream Shaper” in 01 Black Diamond by Clinique where my trademark – the black eyeliner – should be later. I correct the line with a pointed q-tip and use the liquid eyeliner “Baby Doll” by YSL and do the black line. Again, I correct the final line with the q-tip until my eyeliner is perfect. Then I wait a minute till the eyeliner has dried. Here I have already explained how I do my eyeliner in more detail.

Now I apply the light eyeshadow by Dior on the entire eyelid with a brush. In the crease, or “banana”, I use the dark eye shadow with a pointed brush. I blend the whole thing with a larger brush and my eyes are done! I already showed you my two favorite eyeshadows I use by Dior here. Now I use some of the La Prairie concealer for the dark circles and we are ready for the

Face:

Now I take a little amount of the tinted day cream from La Mer and apply it with my fingers. Then I take the Beauty Blender and blend once more everything in.

For my pimples and redness I use the Secret Concealer by Laura Mercier and I apply it on with fingers. Then I use the Pink Mosaic Shimmer Bloc Bronzer from Laura Mercier and brush it on my non-visible cheekbones. I blend it in with the Beauty Blender and apply the mega-pink Rouge by Dior “Diorskin Rosy Glow” (it’s very natural and not as pink as it looks like in the packaging), and blend it in. Then I add a little bit of highlighter “Candlelight Glow Duo” from Too Faced above the Bronzer and under the eyes. Also I’ll take a thin eye shadow brush and apply some highlighter under the brow and in the corner of my eye.

So, we are almost done! Now I do the

Eyebrows:

I use a two-sided eyebrow brush by Marionnaud and brush the brows in shape. With the other side of the brush I take a small amount of the gel and a little bit of color from Smashbox Brow Powder “Brow Tech Trio” and draw the eyebrow in shape and contour. To fix all this, I’m using the clear (and not shiny – very important to me!) Eyebrow fixing gel by Bobbi Brown.

Eyes:

Now I use a dark brown eyeliner “Cream Shaper” in 05 Chocolate Lustre by Clinique at the lower lash line (black is too hard for my eyes) and blend it with the beauty blender. Then I apply a last, thin coat of mascara.

For the lips I use a pretty subtle lipstick like from Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in “85 – Secret” and I’m DONE! I have a face again!

Ah, don’t forget to use your favorite perfume. The whole process takes me about 20-30 minutes (if the eyeliner does not work out, then more like 30 minutes). Now you can either choose a bolder lipstick or apply darker eyeshadows (for example from the Naked3 platte by Urban Decay) to achieve a more dramatic look.

Ja, ich brauche all den Krams für mein Gesicht täglich, wenn ich mich schminke, damit ich wie ein normaler Mensch aussehen will… Aber so viel ist es gar nicht, denn es passt alles wunderbar in das Kosmetiktäschchen von Louis Vuitton im Hintergrund, wenn ich verreise. Im Grunde brauche ich nur diese Produkte zum Schminken und ich habe absolut keine Ahnung, woher die ganzen anderen zig Lippenstifte, Puder, Foundations, Lidschatten und Eyeliner herkommen und mein Bad belagern. Denn eigentlich brauche ich sie nicht. Eigentlich. Aber manchmal hat man Lust auf einen dunkelbraunen Lippenstift oder gelben Lidschatten oder lila Wimpern. So herausgetraut habe ich mich zwar noch nicht, aber gut zu wissen, dass man eine violette Mascara zuhause hat, stimmts? Man kann ja spontan eine Einladung zu einer Bad Taste Party kriegen.

Jedenfalls, ich schweife ab. Das da unten und oben ist meine Basis, der Look, der immer geht und den ich über Jahre hinweg dermaßen perfektioniert habe, sodass ich jetzt schon Panik kriege, wenn ich nur daran denke, dass eines dieser Produkte nicht mehr erhältlich sein sollte. Bei der La Mer getönten Tagescreme ist es jetzt schon der Fall, wie ich soeben erfahren habe, als ich mich auf der La Mer Homepage umgeschaut habe. Na toll. Mal schauen, ob ich noch irgendwo eine Tube auftreiben kann.

Also, ich fange immer mit einem frisch gewaschenen und leicht eingecremten (Soft Cream von La Mer) Gesicht an, wo die Creme schon gut eingezogen ist.

Augen:

Als erstes benutze ich meine Shu Uemura Wimpernzange und tusche die Wimpern kräftig mit der wasserfesten Mascara “Doll Eyes” von Lancome. Ja, ich fange zuerst immer mit den Wimpern an, das mache ich, seit ich 18 Jahre alt bin, und werde es wohl nie wieder ändern. Die Wimperntuschreste entferne ich mit einem Wattestäbchen getränkt in den Lancome Augenmakeup-Entferner und trage die Lidschattenbase von Too Faced auf das ganze Lid sorgfältig auf.

Mit dem Kajalstift “Cream Shaper” in 01 Black Diamond von Clinique ziehe ich eine Linie, wo später mein Markenzeichen – der schwarze Lidstrich – verlaufen soll. Ich korrigiere die Linie mit einem spitzen Wattestäbchen und ziehe nun mit dem flüssigen Eyeliner “Baby Doll” von YSL den Strich. Erneut korrigiere ich den Verlauf mit dem Wattestäbchen bis der Strich perfekt ist. Ich warte, bis der Eyeliner getrocknet hat. Hier habe ich schon genauer erklärt, wie ich meinen Lidstrich mache.

Jetzt trage ich mit einem Pinsel den hellen Lidschatten von Dior auf das gesamte Lid auf. In die Lidfalte, bzw. “Banane” kommt der dunkle Lidschatten mit einem spitzen Pinsel. Ich verblende das Ganze mit einem größeren Pinsel und die Augen sind soweit fertig. Hier habe ich Euch die zwei Lidschatten schon näher vorgestellt. Sollte auf dem Lidstrich etwas Lidschatten gekommen sein, ziehe ich ihn noch ein Mal mit dem YSL Eyeliner nach. Aufs Trocknen lassen nicht vergessen! Ach ja, jetzt kommt noch der Concealer von La Prairie auf die Augenringe.

Gesicht:

Jetzt verteile ich die getönte Tagescreme von La Mer auf meinem Gesicht (jetzt wohl nicht mehr, muss schauen, ob ich die Creme noch irgendwo auftreiben kann!) und verwische sie mit den Fingern. Dann nehme ich den Beautyblender und verblende noch ein Mal alles gut.

Den Secret Concealer von Laura Mercier nutze ich, um Pickel und Rötungen abzudecken und ich trage es mit den Fingern auf. Als Bronzer nehme ich den Pink Mosaic Shimmer Bloc von Laura Mercier und trage es auf meine nicht sichtbaren Wangenknochen auf. Verblende es mit dem Beautyblender und trage das mega-pinke Rouge von Dior “Diorskin Rosy Glow” auf (es wirkt aber sehr natürlich und nicht so krass pink wie in der Packung) und verblende es auch mit dem rosa Schwämmchen. Dann kommt noch etwas Highlighter “Candlelight Glow Duo” von Too Faced oberhalb von Bronzer unter die Augen und wenn wir schon dabei sind, nehme ich einen dünnen Lidschattenpinsel und trage etwas Highlighter unter den Augenbrauen und im Augenwinkel auf.

So, wir sind fast fertig! Jetzt mache ich die

Augenbrauen:

Dafür nehme ich einen zweiseitigen Augenbrauenpinsel von Marionnaud und bürste die Brauen in Form. Mit der anderen Seite des Pinsels nehme ich etwas vom Gel und der Farbe vom Smashbox Augenbrauenpuder “Brow Tech Trio” und ziehe die Augenbrauenform nach. Um das alles noch besser zu fixieren, fahre ich mit dem durchsichtigen (und nicht glänzenden – mir sehr wichtig!) Augenbrauengel von Bobbi Brown nach.

Augen:

Jetzt noch einen dunkelbraunen Strich mit dem Kajal “Cream Shaper” in 05 Chocolate Lustre von Clinique am unteren Wimpernkranz ziehen (schwarz wirkt zu hart bei mir) und es mit dem Beautyblender verblenden. Die Wimpern noch einmal tuschen.

Auf die Lippen kommt jetzt noch ein hübscher Lippenstift, wie zum Beispiel Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in “85 – Secret” und FERTIG! Ich habe wieder ein Gesicht!

Ah und das Lieblingsparfüm nicht vergessen. Das Ganze dauert bei mir ca. 20-30 Minuten (wenn der Lidstrich nicht klappen will, dann eher 30 Minuten). Das Make-Up kann man jetzt anpassen und entweder einen auffälligeren Lippenstift wählen oder die Lidschatten aus der Naked3 Palette von Urban Decay anwenden und einen dramatischeren Look schminken.
