Dear 5 year old Luci...
I feel like it was just yesterday that I was holding you for the first time. It feels like just yesterday you were so tiny.

I hold those memories and precious moments of you being teeny tiny in my heart. Such a sweet baby girl you were. So smart, strong, alert, healthy, and happy. And although I wish I could keep you tiny, you are growing into a beautiful big girl.

It gives me so much joy to watch you learn and grow, my Lucianna. I am so blessed to spend all my days with you. You love to be silly, laugh, smile, and play. You are independent, stubborn, and sassy. You LOVE your family and you adore your friends. You especially love to play with your cousins and take care of baby Layden. More than anything you want to be a big sister and you pray for a baby brother and a sister every.single.day. You have Jesus in your heart and love to attend church with your church friends.

Your favorite colors are pink, purple, and red. You love to watch movies, especially Disney movies. You love to wear sunglasses and "Bunny" is your favorite toy. You love your pets, Brudy and Daisy, and you do such a great job helping take care of them. Your most favorite things to do are sing and dance...and your favorite Disney princess is Aurora. You take cooking classes, gymnastics, we visit the library weekly, and we have play dates with your best friends on a regular basis. You are doing homeschool with your momma and you LOVE to learn. You're a perfectionist just like your mommy and daddy. You can write all your letters, you know their names and sounds, you can count to twenty forwards and backwards and you can count to 10 in Spanish, you can use scissors very well, you color in the lines, and you are starting to learn how to read. Your gross and fine motor skills are extraordinary and you learned how to ride a bike in the matter of 2 days (good thing Santa brought you the bike you asked for!). You know all your shapes and how to describe them, you are learning how to say color words in Spanish and we have even started working on spelling (sight) words! You are creative and musical...I often tell people it's as if we live in a musical having you around.

Luci, you bring so much JOY to our family and everyone around you. You are such a blessing to us!

I love you to the moon and back, Lucianna Dene'. Thank you for choosing me to be your mommy. It is the greatest gift, to be your mommy, and I thank Heavenly Father everyday for giving me you.
