Summer is here

Our first trip to the shack in the Hiace of Spades...

A quick pit stop
Across the valley

And we're home

Struggling with ongoing storage issues, especially now that the Toy Boy is sharing the shack. But being a bit broke, we have to come up with inexpensive (free!) solutions. We found this million years old wardrobe in the back of the shed.
(I wish I'd taken a pic before I cleaned it - it was disgusting.)

The boys dismantled it and lugged it inside.

And I've spent the last three days tarting it up. It's now our living room entertainment unit/storage thing and a perfect backdrop for faffing, frolicking and posing...

It contains the tv and noise maker, a lamp, some books and blankets and assorted other junk.

It's a great spot to display some of my favourite cards and artworks from friends.

And this lamp cover that I crocheted on a whim the other night.

And the spare bit of wall holds three of our seven guitars. That's my Mama's old (Japanese made) classical guitar at the bottom: she hasn't seen the light of day for about fifty years and Toy Boy is working on getting her back to her best. I love that the wall holds one of mine, one of his, and my Mama's.

And that was December.

Thanks so much for the lovely feedback on my November post. You are a fucking awesome bunch. Again, comments are disabled - so you don't feel obliged to comment and I don't feel like a shithead for not having the time or headspace to reciprocate. Catch me on facebook if you are so inclined.
See you in 2014.

Love you long time,

Sarah
