One of my most favorite things to do is travel. I’m addicted to the thrill I feel when exploring new places, discovering fun boutiques to shop, charming bars with unique drinks, I just love being out of town. With the travel I’ve done and hope to do in this new year, I’ve felt inspired to share some of the places I’ve enjoyed visiting. I figured that it only made sense to start with the city I’m based in, Seattle.

Stay

Four Seasons Hotel Seattle – cozy beds, a heated rooftop pool, room service. This is a special place that I have to practically get dragged out of every time I stay. You can see some of my previous posts about my stays at the Four Seasons here and here.

Hotel Monaco – this hotel holds a special place in my heart because it’s the hotel my mom, sister and I would stay in when we did girl’s weekends in the city. Their animal print bathrobes are awesome and you can have your very own goldfish sent up to your room during your stay.

Eat

Pintxo – I love this place. I probably meet friends for drinks or have dinner there 2-3 times a month. Be sure to have a glass of sangria, order the bacon wrapped dates, queso de cabra and albondigas. Reservations are encouraged, and if you can, ask to sit out on their patio.

Terra Plata – another tapas style restaurant in Seattle, Terra Plata is a place where you could walk into by yourself and have dinner at the bar or come hungry with a large party. They have a rooftop you can eat on when the weather is nice, definitely ask to sit out there if the timing is right.

Six Seven – I like to take friends and family here who are in from out of town for brunch. The views are stunning since you’re right over the water and they make a mouthwatering eggs Benedict breakfast. Once you’re through eating, head over to their living room, grab a seat and stare out the window.

Drink

Intermezzo Carmine – I’m amazed a place like this exists in Seattle, it’s beautiful. The first time I went there I just sat and starred at the bar and the furnishings inside. This is a great place to grab a drink with a girlfriend, it’s a favorite spot of mine.

Boka at the Hotel 1000 – I go to Boka for the bartenders, ok the cocktails and wine too but mostly the bartenders. Because they’re friendly and nice and extremely talented at crafting unique and tasty cocktails. I never order drinks off the menu, I go with the bartender’s choice where I pick a spirit and see what kind of magic the bartenders create. Oh and the truffle fries here are delicious.

Radiator Whiskey – I originally learned about this place because it was on a list for the best places in Seattle to get tater tots. Radiator Whiskey is situated right in Pike Place Market, order their bourbon margarita (yes, bourbon) and have some tots.

ART – this place not only has a swoon worthy view of the Great Wheel and the water, they offer an all you can eat cheese happy hour every night at 9pm, oh and they have cheesecake on their menu (my favorite dessert). Order a Lusty Lady cocktail or a glass of wine, have some dessert and enjoy!

See

Chihuly Garden and Glass – I only went here recently but was mesmerized with all the beauty inside. Visiting this place will make you want to throw a lavish party there.

Seattle Art Museum – an awe inspiring place to get lost in and admire incredible works of art.

Theo Chocolate factory tour – I had no idea this was an option until I had the chance to tour the factory myself this last year. Check out this video to get a peek into what’s inside.

Cinerama – after you see a movie here you’ll never want to see a movie anywhere else. You get to choose your seats when you order tickets online (I like this because you don’t have to worry about rushing to the theater early to get a good seat), they offer chocolate covered popcorn, beer and wine! It’s truly one of the most beautiful movie theaters I’ve ever been in.

Transportation

Uber – if you’re not going to walk, take Uber. It’s how I get around Seattle. Sign up here and your first ride is free!
