A favourite project from 2013

Happy New Year to all my wonderful readers and clients! I had a wonderful holiday in Maleny, Brisbane and the Gold Coast over Christmas with lots of family and friends. I'm dying to share photos of a beautiful home owned by one of my family members, but I better get permission first!

I thought it was about time I shared one of my favourite projects from last year. This was a makeover for a wonderful young family Townsville. They had never done anything with this tricky space, because they already had a large living space. Situated between the kitchen and outdoor area, it had become a walk-through space that wasn't used very well.

Updated with some new storage and furniture, and this room has become the perfect spot for the family to play and entertain. I am so in love with this bookshelf and the gorgeous paintings and photos in the family gallery wall. It's wonderful when a home has so many personal memories!


We also added some style to their enormous patio, adding screen planters and some practical contemporary outdoor furniture.
