Beautiful and talented Simonetta Gianfelici

I love to talk about women with the capital “W”. People who captivate the mind and the eye by their beauty and their charisma.
It is not easy to talk about them, too often we simply write about their physical beauty, perhaps because it is very easy to notice.
Unfortunately the beauty dazzles us and we must be aware of this.
I want to to talk about a beautiful woman, not only from the aesthetic point of view: Simonetta Gianfelici.

She was born in Rome and she started her career as a model at 17 years old when she was discovered by the photographer Tiburzi Alberta. Immediately she became the inspiring goddess for many designers including Gianfranco Ferre, Valentino, Terry Mugler and Vivienne Westwood: this artists immediately recognize her real talent.
How many models can afford a list of names so exclusive in their curriculum?
She moved to Milan and she begins to pose for few photographers. She conquered the most prestigious magazine covers and most interesting advertising campaigns. Her success travels fast and grow strong until today

Her international beauty brings her to work in New York, London and Paris, where she lived for three years. In France the Minister of Culture and Communication of the Republic has given to her the honor of Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. A beautiful way to say thank you for her many commitments and of course to make great tribute to her.
She is always on the side of the young emerging designers and she established the Who’s On Next? competition that, in collaboration with AltaRoma, research and supports emerging talent in the fashion world.
A strong and charming personality always on the side of innovation and research of beauty.
What can I say? For me she is pure inspiration.
For heaven’s sake, I will never be as beautiful as her (for obvious reasons) but at least it pushes me to be a better ma

Amo parlare delle donne con la “D” maiuscola, di quelle persone che tramite la loro bellezza ed il loro carisma affascinano la mente e lo sguardo.
Non è facile parlare di loro, troppo spesso si è portati semplicemente a scrivere riguardo la loro bellezza fisica, forse perché è la caratteristica più facile da notare.
Purtroppo la bellezza ci abbaglia, e di questo dobbiamo esserne consapevoli.
Voglio parlarvi di una donna bellissima non solo dal punto di vista estetico: Simonetta Gianfelici.

Nata a Roma, ha intrapreso la carriera da modella a soli 17 anni quando, scoperta dalla fotografa Alberta Tiburzi, ha iniziato la sua ascesa verso il successo.
E’ da subito diventata la dea ispiratrice di numerosi stilisti tra i quali Gianfranco Ferrè, Valentino, Terry Mugler e Vivienne Westwood: artisti che hanno saputo immediatamente riconoscere in lei un vero talento.
In quante possono permettersi nel curriculum un elenco di nomi così esclusivo?
Trasferitasi a Milano inizia a posare per i fotografi più prestigiosi e conquista le copertine delle riviste più cool e le campagne pubblicitarie più interessanti. Il suo successo viaggia veloce ed arriva forte e solido fino ad oggi.

La sua è una bellezza internazionale e la porta a lavorare tra New York, Londra e Parigi dove ha vissuto per tre anni. E proprio in Francia il Ministro della Cultura e della Comunicazione della Repubblica francese le ha consegnato l’onorificenza di Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres. Un bellissimo modo per ringraziarla dei suoi numerosi impegni ed ovviamente per renderle un grande omaggio.
Da sempre dalla parte dei giovani designer emergenti ha ideato ed istituito il concorso Who’s On Next? che in collaborazione con AltaRoma ricerca e supporta i talenti emergenti nel mondo della Moda.
Una personalità forte ed affascinante sempre dalla parte dell’innovazione e della ricerca del bello.
Che dire? Per me è pura fonte di ispirazione.
Per carità, non potrò mai essere bello quanto lei (per ovvie ragioni) ma almeno mi spinge ad essere un uomo migliore.
