If there's one thing that makes me get in fibrillation (much more than clothes) is the Art. It's very difficult to describe, but when I am in front of some pieces of my favorite artistsI am pervaded by a particular excitement, and a light and pleasant form of anxiety; perhaps it is caused by the happiness of having in front of me, almost handy, a piece that has been touched and thought by a symbol of history. This strange sensation is greatly amplifiedwhen I go to view some auction catalogs where there are lots of myfavorite artists. For example, yesterday morning am until 10.30 am at Sotheby's in London, there was Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale. In sales, there were some pieces of my favorite artists such as Matisse and Chagall, Renoir, Pablo Picasso Miro SalvadorDali. --- Se c’è una cosa che mi fa entrare in fibrillazione (molto più dei vestiti) è l’Arte. È una sensazione molto difficile da descrivere, ma quando sono di fronte a dei pezzi dei miei artisti preferiti sono pervasa da una particolare eccitazione e una leggera e gradevole forma d’ansia forse causata dalla felicità di avere di fronte a me, quasi a portata di mano, un pezzo che è stato toccato e pensato da un simbolo della storia. Questa sensazione così strana si amplifica notevolmente quando vado a visionare i cataloghi d’asta in cui sono proposti dei lotti dei miei artisti preferiti. Ad esempio, ieri mattina alle 10.30 da Sotheby’s a Londra c’è stata l’asta Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale. In vendita, c’erano alcuni pezzi dei miei artisti preferiti da Matisse a Chagall, da Renoir a Pablo Picasso da Mirò a Salvador Dalì.

Now, except for some pieces with a starting price really impossible, such as 500.000 GBD, it’s really enthusiastic and exciting to know that in the auction there were items of these same artists, at prices much more modest (thoughstill not very cheap) --- Ora, a parte dei pezzi con una base d’asta davvero improponibile di circa 500,000 GBD, la cosa davvero entusiasmante ed eccitante è sapere che in asta c’erano dei pezzi di questi stessi artisti a cifre molto più modiche (anche se comunque non bassissime)

The idea that aRenoir and Matisse’s drawing is on sale for 8000 euros, it gives me chills and knowing that there is a remote possibility of having at home a Pablo Picasso’s porcelain sculpture for less than$ 10,000 comes over me of indescribable excitement for me, to have a sketch of a great artistin the house, it's more exciting to own a painting by them, because a sketch istangible proof of their artistic effort and their time spent developing an idea that would later becomeArt. For now, I like the idea that ,one day, I could own a piece of history and that I could contemplateit in my living room for hours, but at the same time I think if I had the chance to buy everything that impresses me ... Well I would beextremely poor in a very shorttime! --- L’idea che uno schizzo di Renoir o Matisse è in vendita per 8000 euro mi fa venire i brividi e sapere che c’è una remota possibilità di avere una scultura in porcellana del grande Pablo Picasso in casa a meno di 10.000 euro mi pervade di un’eccitazione indescrivibile. Poter avere un bozzetto di un grande artista in casa, mi entusiasma molto di più dell’idea di possedere un suo quadro, perché uno schizzo è la prova tangibile del suo sforzo artistico del suo tempo passato a sviluppare un’idea che poi sarebbe diventata Arte. Per il momento, mi piace sognare all’idea di poter possedere un giorno un pezzo di storia e di potermelo contemplare per ore nel salone di casa, ma al tempo stesso penso che se avessi la possibilità di poter acquistare tutto ciò che mi colpisce…beh sarei poverissima nel giro di pochissimo tempo!

Comunque, ho colto l’occasione per mostrarvi i pezzi che più mi hanno colpito e che hanno dei prezzi relativamente modici (dai 5000 ai 20000 euro)… E intanto invidio profondamente chi se li è portati a casa!!!
