Part 4

New York Fashion Week has wrapped, and what a trip it’s been! The last day might just have been the best so far… From Michael Kors easy luxury and Jeremy Scott’s hyper-cool craziness to Marc Jacobs unstoppable genius, fashion journalist Kiki Georgiou takes us on her NYFW final-day tour.

Michael Kors

“And just like that, New York Fashion Week is all over for another season! My penultimate day started with Michael Kors who showed one of his most gorgeous collections to date. Cosy cashmere and Aran knits in yummy tones of oat and barley alongside luxurious fur coats, Forties paisley print chiffon dresses and a sequin-embellished pyjama suit to waste a day or two in. Dreamy!”

Jeremy Scott

“From Kors’ easy luxury to Jeremy Scott’s madcap adventure into transforming children’s TV cartoons and pyjama prints (think teddy bears and bunnies and pigs and hearts and pretty flowers) into short, frilly Sixties dresses, crop tops and pleated skirts. And Kanye was there too!”

Ralph Lauren

“There is so much love for Ralph Lauren in New York and the generous man that he is he shared it with his guests, shaking hands and kissing cheeks and greeting everyone while taking his bow. Nobody does classic American like Ralph. The exclusively brown, fawn and taupe collection featured the type of knitwear, capes and suede trousers we all dream of wearing. His simple black silk gowns at the finale were stunning.”

Marc Jacobs

“And Is there a better way to end NYFW than a Marc Jacobs show? Last night we were transporter into Diana Vreeland’s glossy red boudoir. The full New Look skirts he showed with cinched-in micro-check jackets and fur coats thrown over the shoulder were getting heavier and bigger and better as the show progressed. For the love of fashion, it was amazing!”
