I read that statement in one of the website. Yap, he's rite, with "Sweet Liberation" the name of the collection...Tadashi Shoji let us to see the power of dress. Lace, lines, plaid, feathers and sequened embroideries are the most powerfull things to make us "how amazing i am" when we wear it.
I do love how he put that name actually "Sweet Liberation" when we can forget for a while about masculine styles and over proportions
Shoji is best known for his eveningwear. classically styled clothes a much needed modernity... As you can see the photos below...that gold dress, that plaid.
