Did I mention that it's a requirement that I drink wine and talk to the TV during
Project Runway? Honestly, there's no other way. Not only do I give the designers advice (while sitting on my couch in pajamas) I also like to figure out what the judges are going to say. "Oh snap, Michael Kors is going to have a field day with this one!" A couple of seasons ago, I read an announcement that Michael Kors was leaving
Project Runway and that he would be replaced by another famous designer, Zac Posen. I'm not kidding, I literally sent Fran an e-mail with the article. I simply wrote, "My life is over." Of course, I wasn't going to stop watching and I gave Zac Posen a try. Did the show become any less awesome? No! Of course not because it's Project Runway y'all. Also, I now love Zac Posen. Once Fran and I went to a friend's wedding in Connecticut. We decided at the last minute to stay a night in Manhattan. We did one of those Priceline things where you pick where you want to stay (Manhattan) and you pick a price range (something not too expensive) and they pick a hotel for you. You basically click away not knowing what hotel you're going to get, which is why it's at a cheaper rate. What hotel came back to us? The Flatotel. Oh what's that? Only the place where the designers used to stay during the filming of
Project Runway! Of course, they weren't filming while we were staying there. No matter. I did my Tim Gunn and Heidi Klum impersonations the entire time we were there.
Fran: We need to catch a cab.
Me: Make it work!
Fran: (Holding the door for me.)
Me: You're either in (walks outside) or your out. (German accent, of course) Yep, I can officially say that I'm pretty cool, but not as cool as
Project Runway.
