WORDS | A Little Bit of Life

So a little time has past since I last posted on here and an update is definitely due. I won't bore you with the ins and outs of the day to day existing that has kept me away from my space on the internet, but I am currently away from university for one stress related reason or another and taking time to heal.
Sometimes life can simply just be too much and it takes stepping back from it all to be able to see the good from the bad and sift through everything in between. We forget amongst it all to just simply allow ourselves to breathe, and I have certainly been drowning from a lack of oxygen for a little while now. Importantly for me, I can only thrive if given the space to do so and so I've done just that and removed myself from some suffocating situations.
I'm indulging my love for learning and reading quite a lot of theory (and others) lately whilst continuing to power through my coursework too. I've also come to re-kindle a certain love with the word and image in print and bought these two magazines on a whim. There is a little something that you can't quite put into words how pleasing it is to be able to hold onto something as an object and slip pages and pages of beautiful writing and imagery through your fingers. My tutors at university are always stressing how we need to 'feed' ourselves in order to move our own work and thinking forward and for awhile I had forgotten to do so. That said, my passion for all that is visual has really taken off this year and I have never been more excited about what I, myself, do! I'm even capable of pride, self-indulged unashamed pride and it is quite nice. Never underestimate the power of nice.
