California Shenanigans

Currently, I’m I’m California visiting my sister, turning 30, going to a dear friend’s wedding, and generally engaging in shenanigans. I thought I’d share some highlights with you here today. For more fun, follow along on Instagram @shedabbles.

Day 1:

Fabric shopping at Mill End Fabrics in Reno. I got so much fabric!! And it was so cheap!!

Skateboarding at my sister’s house (second time in my life I’ve been on a skateboard). Falling, getting up, success. Also, I’m wearing a new Wiksten tank I made just before leaving for this trip.

Day 2:

My thirtieth birthday! Swimming in the north fork of the Yuba river on our way to San Francisco.

Out for delicious beers at Toronado in San Francisco.

Day 3:

Hipster toast and delicious coffee with my sister and her boyfriend at The Mill.

Meeting up with Mica to check out the amazing Britex Fabrics. I showed restraint and just bought one pretty printed silk from the sale section.

Basil ice cream from Bi-Rite, the other new Wiksten tank I made, and new sneakers.

At my friends’ wedding at the Conservatory of Flowers having fun with my little sister.

Day 4:

Out for a delicious breakfast (chilequiles, oh my goodness!) and a farmer’s market visit before leaving San Francisco.

Back to the Tahoe area. Swimming in the south fork of the Yuba river, jumping off rocks at Emerald Pools.

It’s been such an amazing trip so far! Two more days, then back to the East Coast I go!
