#PolishDays April: Seven Deadly Sins - Gluttony

Omfg, I'm participating in a PolishDays event! It has been many many many months since I did this the last time, so it was about time. I was totally blanking out on this one for ages and thought I would skip again; until yesterday.

I remembered one of my favorite digital artists, Marta Dahlig, made an illustration on each 7 deadly sins back in 2006. I traced my way back to her DeviantArt page and browsed through to Gluttony... And instantly fell in love with the dress she is wearing. This dress became my inspiration for the theme. Also... Who doesn't love a little snack? ;)

For the base I began with China Glaze Passion which is a gold metallic which was launched in Romantique collection from spring 2010. For the gradient I used Poetic and Emotion, also from the same collection and sponged them using a piece of kitchen sponge. Poetic acts as a transition color between gold and pink and is quite subtle... But it did add a lot to this manicure.

For the stamp I went for my beloved Cheeky Jumbo Plate C and stamped the image on with China Glaze Mistletoe Me! from Holiday 2011 collection, however this shade was limited edition to ULTA. After the surface was dry, I coated the nails with Seche Vite as always. :)

And there we have it, a very simple, shiny and luxurious looking Gluttony manicure! Don't forget to check what other ladies did for the event. :)
