Pond dotticure with Verity – Deep Violet and OPI – Alpine Snow

Efter att jag såg Felines pondmanikyr blev jag genast inspirerad att testa själv, och ändå tog det ett tag innan jag satte mig ner för att göra en egen version. Faktum är att jag får ont i hjärtat när jag ser bilderna här och nu i utkastet av inlägget, för den här manikyren gjordes i behov av distraktion två dagar efter en hemsk olycka. Samtidigt blir jag glad, för det är sjukt många som varit fascinerade när de såg mina naglar klädda så här. Till och med min sambo gillade det väldigt mycket, och uttryckte till och med att det är den enda manikyren han någonsin riktigt gillat (?!?!?!?!).

Jag är medveten om att den lila färgen ser helt annorlunda ut på alla bilderna, men den stämmer väl överens med verkligheten, jag lovar. Det var just därför jag valde just de här tre bilderna.
Prickarna är gjorda med OPI Alpine Snow, och jag gissar på att det är runt sex-sju prickar i snitt mellan varje lager av Verity Deep Violet. Jag lärde mig ganska fort att jag skulle vänta några minuter extra mellan lagren för att inte smeta ut de vita prickarna innan jag applicerade fler lager lila jelly. Det tog ett tag att göra klart manikyren, men resultatet blev väldigt snyggt tycker jag, med mycket djup och glans. Kommer definitivt prova på något liknande igen sen, för det här är definitivt en form av nail art som jag klarar av att bära.

After seeing Feline’s pond manicure I was instantly inspired to try it out myself, but of course it took a while until I actually tried to do my own version of it. As a matter of fact, it only happened because I needed a distraction from heart ache and sorrow, which was caused by a horrible accident. Now when I’m sitting here and watching the pictures in the draft of this post, my heart bleeds again. Yet I get happy from the pictures too, since a lot of people were fascinated by this manicure. Even my boyfriend who has seen a shitload of manicures through out the years with me exclaimed that this was the only one he ever really liked (wtf?!?!?!).

I’m well aware of the fact that Verity Deep Violet looks different in all the pictures, but it’s the lighting that does it and I dare say that I think all three pictures are accurate when it comes to the color of the polish.
The dots are made with OPI Alpine Snow, and I’m guessing that it’s around six or sever dots between each layer of purple jelly. The waiting time before applying another layer on top of the dots were a bit longer than I wanted, but I soon discovered that I really had to wait or accept that there would be a lot of smudges from the dots. It took a while to complete the manicure, but I was very happy with the finished result. I love the depth in it, and I’m glad that I found another type of nail art that I can wear without getting stressed out.
