Alternative Things to Do in Las Vegas

Heralded as the “Entertainment Capital of the World,” Las Vegas is famous for its fantastic nightlife and glowing lights. The city has enough attractions and activities for tourists which includes: casinos, theme parks, museums and nightclubs. There are, however, many different things to see and do. Here are a few alternative things to do in Las Vegas.

Vegas Indoor Skydiving
If you are a fan of living life to the max, then Vegas Indoor Skydiving is an attraction you definitely have to check out. The wind tunnel which was originally opened back in 1982, gives visitors the chance to experience skydiving without having to actually throw yourself out of a plane!

Shark Reef Aquarium
As part of the Mandalay Bay hotel and casino complex located on the famed Vegas strip, the Shark Reef Aquarium is a great place to view exotic nautical creatures. The aquarium has over 1.6 million gallons of water and approximately 2,000 animals. Visitors also have the chance to experience the aquarium’s two walk through tunnel exhibits which give a “diver’s view” of the underwater world.

Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Tour
For nature lovers, the amazing botanical gardens at the Bellagio Conservatory is a must see. Famous for its fountains and casinos, the Bellagio hotel is also one of Las Vegas’ best venue for shows, exhibits and extreme gardening. The attraction is open every day of the week, so visitors can enjoy the conservatory at any time. There is also a daily guided tour where the curators of the exhibit talk in depth about how it was created.

Dig This
To truly relieve some stress, check out the Dig This yard. The site is based on a wasteland on the outskirts of Las Vegas and allows visitors to try their hand at actually driving some hard core heavy duty machinery. Dig This is the only park of its kind in the USA, so if you want to try out some real life digger trucks and bulldozers, get yourself down there.

Of course you can not go all the way to Vegas without trying your hand at a game or two of blackjack or poker. But if the above attractions manage to take most of your time, then you can always have a quick play from your smartphone or tablet at online casino sites like Jackpot City.
