Growing Food | Building Our Garden: Part One

We are finally doing it.

The garden is going in this spring. Not just a few plants this year...but enough to bring us up to the level of expert beginners! If there is such a thing. We are utilizing all the space we have in our little rental...cause remember we aren't leaving!

This last weekend we bought our cedar, which we hauled home in our car, between two children, to build our raised beds. There have been some technical difficulties, like forgetting we loaned our drill to our friends, but they are coming along, We will have three 5x5 boxes, filled with ( hopefully) plenty of green goodness. Little mister is thrilled and thoroughly enjoys building these things with his daddy. I will admit, it's hard for me to let the boys finish them...I really want to jump in and finish them up! The bonding time is more important than a finished box though....I have to remind myself of that. So, for now, they sit barely started on our patio.
