March = May Weather

Yesterday, after I arrived home from Girls On The Run and Ryan arrived home from work, we wasted no time at all changing into “play clothes” and leashing Sadie up for a three-mile evening walk. The weather over the course of the past few days has been unbelievably fantastic in Charlotte.

Ryan read up on it since we’re still new to the area and aren’t really sure if this weather is “normal” for March. Apparently the current temperatures are more consistent with May weather and cooler weather is likely on the horizon, but when Saturday’s forecast says 70 degrees and sunny, we’ll take it!

Before dinnertime, we drove to a park for our evening walk and it seemed like everyone was out and about last night. I love living in an active area again!

Oh! And you can expect to see that oversize gray boyfriend tee on the blog approximately 5,000 times from now until August. During my first trimester, I discovered the wonderfully flowy and super soft tanks and tees from Chaser and they’re my go-to comfy preggo tops right now. (FYI, RueLaLa has them on sale for half price all the time.)

Sorry about the hair in your face, Sadie!

Once we made it home, it was time for the traditional St. Patrick’s Day dinner of corned beef and cabbage. I am a BIG fan! Corned beef and cabbage is actually the dinner I would request for my birthday when I was growing up. Random but delicious!

Today

This morning, I slept in until 6:40 a.m. which was great since Monday night I’m pretty sure we got 2.5 hours of sleep. I was so, so restless so I awoke this morning feeling very grateful that I slept much better last night.

After the alarm went off, I grabbed an apple and drove to my local Pure Barre studio to take the 7:15 a.m. class with one of my favorite teachers!

On my way home, I grabbed a decaf vanilla latte and by the time I walked through the door, I was more than ready for breakfast. A banana took the edge off while I prepared an egg white and oatmeal protein pancake (with a scoop of almond butter added to the mix).

Topped off with maple syrup…

While I dug into my breakfast pancake, Sadie tried to coerce me into playtime with her little Santa bear.

(That toy was a free gift from Victoria’s Secret years ago and Sadie loves it. She licks it an babies it and it’s totally ridiculous.)

I guess she decided to overlook St. Patrick’s Day and skip right to Christmas. Perhaps it’s because she’s as Irish as I am (aka not at all).

I hope you have a great Wednesday and that your St. Paddy’s Day yesterday was a fun one! Off to work!
