On My Wishlist: NARS Dual Intensity Eye Shadow

I find that NARS eye shadows are hit and miss. I know they are holy grail for many beauty junkies, but I some of them just look better in the pan than they apply to the lid. I have and adore the Kalahari duo, but that is the extent of my NARS shadow collection. So when the press release for the Dual Intensity eye shadows crossed my blogging desk, I read and thought, “Hmm interesting,” and then filed it away for later. It wasn’t until I hit up Sephora a few weeks ago that I actually saw these beauties up close and personal. *APPLAUSE* WOW NARS! They are AMAZING.

What you see in the pan is exactly what you get when swatched. The insane pigmentation of the twelve shades and smooth application wet or dry gives these an edge over other versatile shadows on the market. Dry for a sheer, airbrush-like finish with a luminous sheen or apply with a dampened brush for high-impact and intense, opaque color. All this goodness doesn’t come cheap though: each shadow is $33CAD! That small detail is what held me back from bringing one home but I think they are definitely worth checking out.
