Potato Stamp Easter Eggs

I love quick and easy crafts, and today’s tutorial is one of my favorites! Did you know you can use a potato as a stamp? They make great customizable stamps because they’re easy to carve, and it’s so much fun to paint them and stamp them. I turned a few potatoes into Easter egg stamps in preparation for the upcoming holiday!

Potato stamps make great kid’s crafts; it’s fun and a little messy and it allows you to be as creative as you want! As long as an adult helps cut up and carve the potatoes, the kids can do all of the rest of the work!

Here’s what you need to make these potato stamps:

  • Russet potatoes
  • knife
  • chopsticks or bamboo skewers
  • craft paint
  • paintbrush
  • paper for stamping (or a blank t-shirt, tote bag, tea towel, or anything else you want to stamp!)

Note: Any kind of potato will do, but Russets tend to be more oval shaped, which is perfect for Easter eggs.
