the classic trench coat
when i got this trench coat last year, the deliberations that went through my brain were epic. did i mention that i ruminated a lot? fast forward a year and what are my thoughts, having invested in this burberry trench? when i got it, i believed that after many years of buying "disposable" coats (aka. those that last about 2 seasons before spontaneously combusting), it was time to get a grown up and professional-looking coat. i also felt that i'd have to wear it really often to justify the price and after the babying phase went away (truthfully, a good month), it is on regular rotation. it also depends on whether my kids will be around in full gusto (picking them up from school = okay. taking them around for the whole day with dirty fingers = not okay). so while one doesn't need to buy burberry, a trench is definitely a classic coat that i'm glad i purchased. joining liz and her style link up!
