Chapstick Cozy

I shared this tutorial over at Ducks 'n a Row a few weeks ago, and thought I would share it here too!
Will fall weather, comes chapped lips and the constant need to protect your lips from the harsh wind and cold. I always seem to be losing my chapstick, or it works it way down into the very bottom of my purse when I need it most. I decided to make up a little chapstick cozy complete with a d-ring. You can attach it to any key chain, purse, diaper bag or even a child's book bag.
To make you own Chapstick cozy ... You need to cut two 2in. x 9in. strips of fabric.
You will also need (1) 2in. size D-ring.
Lay your two pieces right sides (pretty sides) together. Sew around 3 of the 4 sides with a 1/4 in seam. Clip corners and turn right side out. Press with hot iron. Fold up your closed end about 2 1/2 inches. Sew down both sides as close to the edge as you can.

Take your unfinished edge and fold under about 1/4 inch.

Loop the end around your D-ring and sew in place.

Enjoy! I may be linked to any one of THESE GREAT PARTIES
