Zoya Naturel Satins: Ana & Tove - Nail Art and Swatches

Today I have two polishes from the Zoya Naturel Satins to share with you. I got Ana and Tove for review and I thought I should combine them together for some quick and easy nail art look, so I did just exactly that. I'm also going to share my swatches of both of these polishes with you later in this post, but let's first take a look at that easy nail art with these two.

So for this look I used the lighter shade called Ana as my base color. When it was fully dry I applied some nail vinyls on my nails making the triangle shape and then I applied a generous coat of the darker shade called Tove on my nails and then of course removed the vinyls.

Like I said, this was very quick and easy look to do and I think these two polishes look really good together! Eventhough it's a simple look, I liked it very much and I have to say that this kind of nail art really does make your nails look longer. I just recently had to shorten my nails quite a bit and this look really gave the illusion that my nails would be longer than they really are.

This Zoya Satin finish is a new one from Zoya. It's something between a glossy finish and a matte finish, so pretty much a semi-matte. I'm not really the biggest fan of neutral matte shades, I kinda need some shimmer or something going on in my matte polishes, but I was still quite intrigued to try these because of this different finish. However, unfortunately I have to say that I'm not completely happy with the formula of these. I struggled a bit with applying these, at least with Ana. These aren't really self-leveling and since you are supposed to wear these without any top coat, you really need to pay attention when applying these. I think the best way to do it is to first apply one regular coat and wait a bit. Then apply a bit thicker coat next since it's easier to get these to spread evenly this way.

Ana is slightly pink toned neutral beige. Zoya describes this one as light toasted almond shade. I had to use three coats of this one since I was struggling a bit to apply it evenly. If I wasn't completely satisfied with the formula, I did however like this color very much. It's a beautiful neutral shade and gives very sophisticated look on your nails.

Tove is a dusty blue-toned grey. Zoya describes this one as a misty slate grey cream. This had a bit better formula than Ana and I only needed two coats with this. It's also quite beautiful shade of grey, very flattering shade indeed.

So all in all, both are pretty gorgeous neutral shades, but still I'm not the biggest fan of this finish. I'd probably prefer these if they had some kind of shimmer in them, that would look gorgeous with this finish. Eventhough it did struggle with the application a bit, these aren't still impossible to apply, you just need to use the right technique. I'm quite sure I will be using these two in the future with top coat or as a base for somekind of nail art as they really are such beautiful neutral shades.
