Crêpeaffaire - Cambridge

Crêpeaffaire recently opened a new shop in Cambridge. I've walked past it a few times and the look of the place drew me in so I thought I'd finally bite the bullet and order a crêpe or two as to my knowledge, Cambridge does not have a lot of eateries that specialise in crêpes and waffles aside from the cart in the city centre...

It's decorated how I'd imagine a New York hipster café would be. Low hanging lights, strong attention to typography on all the signs, sunflowers, mismatched furniture and dark wooden floors. There isn't an abundance of seating, so I chose to visit outside of regular lunch time hours and the place was reasonably quiet, although boiling hot, which was odd as it was a mild rainy kind of day (although I was sitting near to the kitchen). They serve crêpes, waffles, coffees and milkshakes and all of the food is reasonably priced, with crêpes starting around the £3 mark. I ordered 'The Londoner' which consisted of scrambled egg, bacon and cheese and was absolutely delicious! The crêpes aren't huge but are perfect for a light lunch, or if you're feeling more peckish you can also treat yourself to a sweet crêpe for dessert.

I'd definitely recommend taking a visit if you're shopping in or visiting Cambridge, especially on a weekday as I'd envisage it'd be quieter. It's a little bit out of the way as it's opposite The Round Church (Holy Sepulchre). But the food is delicious, the ambiance is nice, the food is served quickly and the staff are friendly.

Is there a Crêpeaffaire where you live?
