Swatch & Review: Kiko Daring Game

Kiko Daring Game 2, 3 and 5

Some lovely staple colours today from Kiko’s Daring Game collection.

While I’m not a fan of pinks, I was delighted with the smooth application of this pink. It was almost a one coater. If I was using it as a base for nail art I’d have probably left it at one coat, the formula was a dream and the finish was glossy without a top coat.

I absolutely love this tone of red, and definitely a one-coater (though I’ve used two here, mostly out of habit).

Number 5 is the odd one out being a jelly, and I’m really annoyed that in the photos there’s some visible nail line because in person it wasn’t at all visible. Again, a lovely formula though.

Overall these are all lovely polishes, plain yes, but lovely nonetheless. The bottles are really cute with the square dice cap, tying in brilliantly with the theme of the whole collection. I was also sent some of the makeup items, and although I won’t be showing them as I’m not at all confident with makeup photography so far all of the products have been just as great in terms of quality. The only downside about these polishes for me would be the price. £6.90 isn’t a particularly high price but it’s definitely the first time I’ve seen a Kiko polish for over a fiver, which is quite a leap. The formula is definitely deserving, but I’m a little puzzled about the significant difference (percentage wise) in price from their usual range. Either way though, they’re great formulas and lovely colours.

Important Bits:

My pick: The red ’5′
Cost: £6.90 each
Coats: 2 of each, no top coat
