SEEING RED

Kuten sanottu, uuden vuoden myötä lupasin itselleni, että nyt olisi vihdoin aika uusille tuulille huulilla. Olen jumittanut uskollisesti nudepunissa sen verran kauan – älkääkä ymmärtäkö väärin, niistä en todellakaan luovu edelleenkään – että välillä vaihtelu todellakin virkistäisi.

Näin ollen huulipunakokoelmani sai joulun alla kaksi uutta jäsentä, molemmat L’Oréalin Color Riche Pure Red -kokoelmasta. Sävyiksi valikoin Doutzen Kroesin sekä Blake Livelyn punat – kyllä nimittäin blondi blondin tuntee. Ei ollut siis yllätys, että molemmat sopivat loistavasti myös omille vaaleille piirteilleni. Kunpa vaan sitä vielä oppisikin levittämään punan kauniisti, mä olen nimittäin totaalinen amatööri. Nudea kun voi aina sutia huuliin niin huolettomasti, mutta voimakkaiden punaisten kanssa onkin sitten ihan eri stoori..

/ As I promised to myself, now that the new years is here it’s finally time for me to get my color game on on my lips. I’ve been loyally using only nudes for a long time now – don’t get me wrong though, I’m not gonna toss them now either – but sometimes a pop of color wouldn’t be all wrong.

So with that said, under the holidays I got myself two new lipsticks, both from L’Oréal’s Color Riche Pure Red -collection. I chose the shades of Doutzen Kroes and Blake Lively – two gorgeous blondes that definitely look good with red decorating their lips. And it was no surprise that just these shades were well suitable for my light features too. Now I just gotta learn how to apply these beautifully. I mean, it’s so much easier with nudes, you don’t even have to watch what you’re doing when applying them. Whole another story with these bright reds..
