Rachel Knows... "Mom Jeans" and Toothbrushes!

I remember asking my friends what their favorite kind of maternity jeans were and what the differences between all of the different kinds of maternity jeans were. I was looking online at Old Navy and they had demi bands, full bands, mini bands, marching bands... (I just starting making up bands after demi bands, because I couldn't remember all of the different bands, but they did have way too many different choices.) I was overwhelmed. Everyone unanimously recommended the full coverage maternity jeans. I don't know why I was even looking at Old Navy because their jeans have never fit me properly in the waist and they're always way too long. Even their petite lengths are too long for me. So when I had enough of sitting in the house from being miserably sick, I ventured out to the mall one evening. I instantly regretted leaving the comforts of my bed, but the moment I went into Motherhood Maternity my life was changed! Maternity jeans, in my opinion, were the greatest thing since sliced bread. I mean, I can't explain to you how instantaneously I fell in love with Maternity jeans. Especially the brand Indigo Blue.

I mean these things (maternity jeans) have shape wear built right in. They don't have any buttons or zippers. You never again have to worry about "muffin top" or leaving your zipper down. I don't know what some women have against maternity jeans, but I for one will never wear normal jeans again. You can't make me! My two pairs of maternity jeans have a nude colored panel, but the newer ones have navy blue panels, so it just looks like you're wearing a cami under your shirt if it rises up some when you're sitting or squatting. I mean I know you're probably thinking just buy some Spanx or some shape wear, but why would you do that when it is already built in and it is the same price as regular jeans. You don't have to wear separate pieces or spend extra money for the same exact thing. Plus, for me, shape wear, is always way too tight and uncomfortable. The panel in maternity jeans are just the right amount of support for me without making it hard to breathe or making me uncomfortable. My whole life "muffin top" has been my worst enemy. Even when I weighed 106 for my entire middle school and high school career and until I was 22, I still had a tiny bit of flub that would always hang over the front of my jeans if I wore anything other than higher waist jeans. Those weren't in style back then, so I either had to feel like a geek or feel paranoid about my tiny "muffin top." Had I had these jeans I never would have had to worry about it. I don't know. I just feel like every pair of jeans should be made like maternity jeans and women shouldn't feel ashamed or embarrassed to wear them. I am just in love. I also love the Indigo Blue brand because they're great quality jeans and their petite length is absolutely perfect for me. The only other brand of jeans that fit me perfectly length wise are American Eagle jeans, but because my middle is thicker, when I buy jeans that fit my waist they're insanely baggy in the legs. I am just so happy that I can finally buy jeans that fit me perfectly in the legs and perfectly in the waist. My shirts look amazing and like I said before I never have to worry about leaving my zipper down, because lets face it, I'm a doofus and I used to do that a lot. :-X

My next rave is about my new Arm and Hammer Sonic Toothbrush.

I used to have an electric toothbrush, but I quit using it several years ago because the replacement heads got a little expensive and I honestly didn't see or feel quite a big enough difference between that and my regular toothbrush to warrant that extra expense. My mom came home with a little Dollar Store sonic toothbrush and that got me thinking about my old electric toothbrushes and how I'd been seeing QVC talking about their sonic toothbrushes and how great they were. I really wanted to try one out and to be honest I think I was just telling myself there wasn't a difference between my old toothbrush and the manual so I could help save a little money for my husband. Anyway, I went out and looked at some sonic toothbrushes and I came home with the Arm and Hammer rechargeable sonic toothbrush. The first time I used it I was sooooooooooooooooo happy! I honestly have a secret obsession with brushing my teeth. I just love it. It feels so nice. The toothpaste tastes so good and it just relaxes me for some reason. After brushing with this toothbrush I was in heaven. It was the best toothbrush I've ever used and I've used a ton. An added benefit was that I thought I could tell that my teeth were actually getting whiter. I thought maybe I was just seeing things, but when I started getting compliments on how much whiter my teeth looked I knew it wasn't just in my head. Sonic toothbrushes are freaking amazing! I think everyone out there should have one. My mouth has never felt cleaner or better. My gums have never looked better and I am just in love!

Between my "Mom Jeans" and my sonic toothbrush I am one happy lady. Lucy makes me kinda happy. Not as happy as my "Mom Jeans" and sonic toothbrush, but she's ok.

I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo joking! I love her more than life itself. She's the most amazing thing I've ever laid my eyes on and I'd give up everything on earth for her. She's my beautiful, silly, little monkey girl and I love her so freaking much!
