Cut and Paste Biker Jacket and a Giveaway

You know, a girl who marries a ruggedly handsome man with a taste for adventure shouldn’t be at all surprised when he announces he wants to buy a couple of Harleys, throw on some leathers and ride across the country Easy Rider style.

WHAAAATTTTT!!!???!!

I’m sure he’s envisioning this…

he and Peter Fonda cruisin’ free and easy down the highway.

And this…

me, totally comfortable in my skin tight leather pants, totally rockin’ the Sturgis scene.

Well, in reality, I’m pretty sure it’d be more like this…

“Sweeters,” spoken with a slight Minnesota accent, “I hate to ask you and Peter to stop those cute bikes again, but I just have to take a few more snapshots of those pretty wildflowers. And do you think you boys could take a few after shots of me in my little refashioned leather jacket that I made before we left? And I made some sandwiches for you boys. Let’s go over to that picnic table and have a little lunch.”

And of course, he and Peter would totally take time out of their free and easy riding to accommodate all of my wishes.

(He’s not the only one with fantasies, you know.)

Even if you’re not planning a wild ride across the country with your sweetie and Peter Fonda on some Harleys, I’d love it if you would check out this Cut and Paste Leather Jacket tutorial over at eHow. I’ll be giving away another copy of The Refashion Handbook to one person who pins and comments.

You really don’t have to be in Sturgis to rock this look.

(Pretty sure, this tote bag would look great on the back of a Harley, too. Don’t you think?)

Do you recognize the sleeves from last week’s Winter Tote Bag project?

A big biker thank you hug to everyone who pinned and commented on the tote bag project last week.

The winner of The Refashion Handbook is…

Carissa Browning! Thanks for your nice comment. Send your address to me at [email protected] and I’ll send it out to you right away.
