Rosa Loves… Clarins Beauty Products.

A couple of weeks ago, my friend Jane and I decided to brave the extreme cold temperatures to learn about the latest beauty trends. We arrived at the Clarins counter at Bloomingdale’s a little early so we were able to chat with the other ladies and with Christopher Truffa, Clarins’ Celebrity Skin Care Specialist. Christopher was amazing and during the presentation, he told us about Clarins’ new beauty launches. He also gave us great tips for our daily skin care routine and the timing couldn’t be more perfect; I am really trying to take better care of my skin because let’s be honest, I’m not getting any younger. At the end of the night, we left with some fabulous samples to try at home and I wanted to share some of my favorites with you today.

  • New Skin Care Routine: I have been using the Double Serum Complete Age Control Concentrate, the Multi-Active Day Correction Cream and the UV Plus Anti-Pollution Sunscreen. At the event, Christopher recommended we use these products in that particular order and after following his recommendation, I have noticed that my skin feels a bit smoother and more hydrated. The winter tends to make my skin very dry and flaky and I’m hoping that this new routine will continue to improve my skin.
  • The Perfect Concealer: I have been searching for a new concealer and before the event, I was eager to try the Instant Light Brush-On Perfector. I usually go for a more natural look and other concealers have been a bit too heavy in terms of coverage. This product is amazing. It provides great coverage, brightens the area around the eyes, and it doesn’t feel or look heavy, which is exactly what I was looking for (shown in the Pink Beige shade in the second photo).
  • Green Eyeshadow and Eye Pencil: During the presentation, Christopher demonstrated how to achieve a fabulous smoky eye with the green eyeshadows in the Garden Escape Eye Palette. While playing with the makeup samples this weekend, I decided to give the green eyeshadow a try. I was pleasantly surprised. I followed the instructions in the little card included in the palette and I noticed that the green really helps bring out my brown eyes. I also must confess that I am not very adventurous when it comes to eyeliner, I stick to gray or black. At the event, my friend Jane mentioned that she loves to wear green eyeliner, so I thought it would be fun to use the Crayon Khol Eye Pencil in Intense Green when I was getting ready the other day. I particularly love the brush on the opposite end, which perfect for smudging the line.
  • Amazing Lip Balm: At the event, one of my favorite products was the Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector. While I wear lipstick most of the time, I find that some formulas aren’t as hydrating so I always pre-apply lip balm and this Clarins’ product is perfect for that purpose. This lip balm is not sticky or too glossy and provides a long lasting nourishing effect to my lips. I love that there’s a light hint of color in each of these lip balms so they are perfect to wear alone while running errands and at home. I fell in love with the red, the rose, and the coral colors (shown from top to bottom in third photo).

Thank you Clarins’ PR team, Christopher Truffa, and Bloomingdale’s for such a lovely event.
