apartment: the kitchen
I've been wanting to post pictures of my studio for a while now, but kept thinking I should wait until it was "done." And then I realized it will never be done...So instead I'll be taking a different approach and showing the work in progress that it is, and what I hope it will someday be!
I wanted more of an industrial vibe in the kitchen since the rest of the space is very feminine. The thick wood table with metal legs was the perfect find (Alameda!) and serves its kitchen table purpose perfectly...it also doubles as a great serving space or prep area which is important in a small space. I love the idea of painting the legs a fun color like the hot pink shown in the inspiration. The overall space gets great light but also makes the white wall a little too intense for my liking, so I'd love to turn it into a chalkboard surface. If I could have my way, I would also hang one of those great pendant lights above the table!
