Dear April & One Thousand Posts.

This letter to you marks my one thousand and second post. I had meant for this to mark my thousandth but it seems that my maths was a little off last week. It never was my strong point. (Shout out to my clever friend at school who let me copy her maths homework on more than one occasion.) I remember enough to get by... as long as I double check with a calculator.

April I think you're going to be the month of returning to old projects that used to make me so happy. I've started making jewellery again, different to the charm pieces I made a few years ago because my style has changed so much since then, but it's proving to be as therapeutic as I remember it being and I'd like to continue. I'm not sure if anything will come of it, I may reopen my bigcartel store in the future (I had business cards for it and everything!) but even if not, being able to make things is one of life's simple pleasures I think.

So yes, over a thousand posts. Wow. You know, I think this is the longest I've ever stuck with anything. And I know that blogging now is often about success and how many readers are subscribed and how many views you get each month, but I don't really like to get caught up in all of that. When I started writing here I was a lonely twenty year old who had just dropped out of University and was so incredibly lost. And now I'm a little older, about to graduate and about to embark on a new journey. There has never really been an end goal, no specific numbers in mind or anything like that. I suppose it's always been more just something to say 'hello giant world out there, I exist'.

Just know that if you're taking a few minutes out of your day to read this, I appreciate you more than you could ever know, and thank you for being a part of my journey. You're marvelous.

* * * xoxo
