Salty & sweet makes a great coffee treat.

Once this time of year hits, all the favourite coffee shops start offering comforting, seasonally appropriate (and often decadent) coffees.
Last year I shared a few ways to make your own flavoured coffee syrup. This year, we'll do something a bit different and make some flavoured coffee creamer. Salted caramel anyone?

Yeah... that's what I thought! It's easy... so lets jump right in.

Ingredients
14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
1 3/4 cup whole milk or cream
4 Tbsp caramel ice cream topping
1/2 tsp kosher salt

Method
In a small pot, add the salt, caramel and a little of the whole milk or cream, warm over low heat until salt has dissolved and caramel incorporated.

Remove from heat and pour into a mason jar or suitable container. Add in the condensed milk and remaining cream or whole milk, mix / shake well.

Label your container with the expiration date of the milk or cream you used. Store in refrigerator. Shake before each use.

If you want to make a simple vanilla or hazelnut flavoured creamer, simply mix together the same amounts of condensed milk and cream as the above recipe states, then add 2 tsp of either vanilla or hazelnut extract. Yum!
