LORAC Pro Palette: A joint post featuring Hunter

Get ready for EXTREME FABULOUSNESS, readers! I am so excited to share my first joint post with you today. My partner in today's post is Hunter, a.k.a. the beautiful huntergray on Makeup Alley, who occasionally posts FOTD looks on there that inspire drooling and makeup lemmings for many viewers, including myself. She is actually the reason I bought the LORAC Pro palette - I had already swatched it in-store and thought it was nice, but when I saw it on her, I decided I could resist it no longer and ordered it from Sephora. But I'm getting ahead of myself here. First, allow me to show you my swatches:

No flash, in natural light outdoors:

Top row: White, Cream, Taupe, Light Pink, Mauve, Sable, Espresso, Black
Bottom row: Nude, Champagne, Gold, Light Bronze, Pewter, Garnet, Deep Purple, Slate
With flash:

Top row: White, Cream, Taupe, Light Pink, Mauve, Sable, Espresso, Black
Bottom row: Nude, Champagne, Gold, Light Bronze, Pewter, Garnet, Deep Purple, Slate
I absolutely love, love, love this palette and have been using it so much since I got it. It has an excellent selection of mattes (the entire top row) and shimmers (the entire bottom row), and the colors are pigmented, smooth, and blendable. What more could you ask for? I also find the LORAC Behind the Scenes eye primer (the palette comes with a mini) quite good, but it doesn't hold up quite as well to my watery right eye as my NARS primer does, so I will probably just use it for swatching from now on.

I think the LORAC Pro palette lends itself to a wide variety of looks, and to prove it, Hunter and I are here to show you a whole lot of them! I think I'm going to have to show you mine first, because Hunter's skills and her face absolutely blow my mind and I'm afraid my makeup will look mediocre after you see hers! :)

In this first look (which I actually posted before in my post on Chantecaille Pink Melon lip gloss), I used Pewter on the lid, Mauve in the crease, Deep Purple in the outer V, and Cream to highlight:

In this one, I used Light Pink all over, Mauve in the crease, and Espresso in the outer corner - all matte:

In this look (after I cut my hair!), I used Garnet on the lid, Sable and Mauve in the crease, and Cream to highlight:

And here are some of Hunter's amazing looks! I just adore her!

In this look, she used Light Bronze all over the lid, Gold on top of that on the outer half of the lid, Taupe blended through the crease, Espresso to darken the outer corner, and Black (over MAC Blacktrack, to create a softened look) as liner:

In this one, she used Black all over the lid and then layered Slate over it just in the center of the lid:

In this one, Hunter used Pewter in the inner corner, Slate in the middle of the lid, Black in the outer corner, Cream as a brow highlight, and Garnet smudged along the lower lash line:

In this look (which I think is tied with the one just above it for my favorite!), she used Cream on the inner corner, Garnet on the center of the lid, and Espresso on the outer corner of the lid, deepened with a bit of Black. She also used Espresso and Gold on the lower lash line:

In this final look, Hunter used Slate all over, Black in the outer corner, and a bit of Mauve to blend out the crease, along with Garnet, Black, and Deep Purple along the lower lash line:

I hope you enjoyed this post as much as we enjoyed putting it together for you!
