It goes without saying that I’m excited to announce my new contributor role with The Coveteur to kickstart a range of seriously ace projects for the year. As I mention in my first piece for them, it certainly seems to be that Australians and Canadians get along. It’s a Commonwealth thing. The same humour runs in our veins – though Aussies might run an extra shot of Vegemite. Mate.
Since Team Coveteur and I first met at a Mary Katrantzou show a year ago, and again, when we shot in New York in September, we’ve been mentioning in passing that of course, we should work together on a couple of flatlays and some of my
terrifyingly obsessive stop-motion constructions. But it was only in the early hours of 2015 that we actually shifted some gears into motion, and here we are, swapping technicalities on national holidays and planning our next food date on which we can eat so much that we can no longer stand. I couldn’t be more honoured to be working with such a prime group of humans for a title I really believe in.
So here goes. Round one. All about Australia Day long weekend towel parties, Jonathan Howard’s open weave hats and Vegemite disguised as SPF 30 (and we rub it on our teeth/puts a rose in every cheek).
