Consider This My New Year’s Resolution…

Happy New Year, friends!!! Hope you had a lot of fun celebrating last night!

I spent a super low-key doing a shabu dinner at home with my kids. It’s one of our favorite things to do and it’s just a great way to end the year with my favorite people. We had a really fun time going around the table asking each other what we wish for the new year. For me, I told my kids that I want everyone to be healthy so that no one has to go to the doctors. For George, he wishes that Hayden would get into a really good school for Kindergarten. For Hadley, she wishes for bubbles (so cute, right?! wish I had captured that on video). As for Hayden, she said the sweetest and cutest thing and I shared it on Instagram. It really shows that my girl has a heart of gold ~ I’m so proud!

So, I’m gonna be honest here, this year I’m going to start off a bit slow. I may even be blogging less than I normally would (and don’t even count on me sticking to an editorial calendar.) I want to spend some time to refocus, really think about my content, and share things that matters to me, and hopefully you.

I hope to inject more of my core values, my beliefs, and everything that made me who I am. At the same time, I don’t want to lose the focus of Shop Sweet Things, which initially started as a blog to share my favorite products. But now, I feel that this blog has evolved to be more than that. It really is for me to share anything that enriches a lifestyle. And this could be about material things or non-material things, or both.

I may or may not be able to get back on a more consistent blog schedule, but one thing for sure, I’m not stopping here. If anything, I am here to share even better content than I ever did – cause once in a while, I just wanna blow my own damn mind!

That said, I do have a really good piece of The Kind Of Woman coming out with Erin in the coming week. It’s about perfectionism, and man, that discussion is going to be really frank and interesting, and we can’t wait to get into that one with you!

I also partnered up with a few brands for upcoming campaigns. Super excited about those and they all relate to my lifestyle and values so well. So I’m thrilled to be working on them and keeping Shop Sweet Things thrive as a destination on how to live an enriched lifestyle.

Many thanks again for all your support in 2014 and the past years. Jan. 2015 marks my 4th year of blogging. And while I’ve got my ups and downs, and sometimes really down where I just wanna quit, I am still very happy that I made this happen for myself, and that I am able to carve out this space here to connect with friends, family, and people alike. So, thank you for reading and following.

Happy 2015 to you all and I wish you the bestest and most cheerful year ahead!

And don’t forget, blow your own damn mind, ok?

With all my heart,

Jeanne
