More minis

Hello again! I haven't been able to do a whole lot of sewing lately, things have just been too busy over here, but a few days ago I managed to squeeze in something that's been on my list since Quilt Market.

A Mini Dwell!

See, last week my friend Holly started a quilt along on Instagram called the Dwell Along (you can find it with the tag #dwellalong) and I wanted to join in. The original Dwell quilt I made a few years ago for my second book, Simply Retro.

It was made out of all scraps, and even has a scrappy binding. One of my very favorite quilts I've made, for sure. I knew I probably couldn't commit to another big quilt right now, but a mini? That I could do!

So despite the flu bug that is running rampant our house this week, I was able to sit down and make this one evening. It was love at first sight! But really, isn't that just how mini quilts work in general?

I forgot to show you this one I made for Lissa (the brains behind the APQ quilt along) over Christmas break. It's a tiny version of the APQ block, and I thought it would be a fun addition to her new wall of minis. I think I need to make one for my wall too, don't you think?

Mini Dwell PDFs are ready to go in the shop, and the printed ones will ship next week as soon as they get here from the printer. So here's the first bunch of my little mini series, with more to come soon.

This is so fun. :-)
