sun setting and our beautiful lake

two photographs from the summer that has passed.
we spent one evening with some friends at a place called högholmen in the beginning of july. we ate goodies, drank red wine and tea while the sun went down behind the trees. the second photograph is from the middle of june. the nights where light and full of magic, those summernights are amongst the best ones. midwinter nights are also magic, with heaps and heaps of degrees below centigrade and the air full of frost and the sky full of bright stars.
we attended the local slow food market this weekend. i bought 2litres of locally picked cranberries for only 12euros. i adore the slow food concept, it should be the leading food producing concept in my opinion. such healthy food and healthy people.
i went out to photograph our rowan tree about an hour ago. it's leaves are bright red now and when the morning sun shines upon them, the whole tree looks like it's on fire.
the rowan tree is actually a sacred tree in finland. myths tell that the rowan tree is very important for keeping our homes happy. so almost wherever you go in finland, there's almost a 100% chance that you'll find atleast one rowan tree on every yard.
your comments really made my days. i've been a bit down lately because of the whole petition thing, i've also been sick for about a week. i'm on medication until this wednesday. my love is giving me heaps of good energies and i feel so lucky. i'm surounded by beautiful people, thank you everyone for you kind words! i won't stop blogging, i didn't really intend to. i was just a bit tired that i put up loads of effort without any reactions at all, both positive and negative reactions.
as i said i won't stop blogging. i have lots of inspiration going through my veins and i've decided to really go through with this project i've came up with. hopefully it'll be ongoing throughout this year and perhaps even next, we'll see. who knows what mother earth carries in her womb.
have a spectacular start on the new week peeps!
