5 Awesome Things to Make With Canvas Drop Cloths

I had the pleasure of creating these 5 Canvas Drop Cloth Tutorials for the DIY Network. It was so much fun and I ended up with five really cool finished products that we use and enjoy. If you're looking for cool affordable DIY's you've got to check these out.

Handmade Kids Teepee - I am so pleased with how this project came out. My favorite part is how the drop cloth is perfect for decorating. No-Sew Chevron Curtains - These are much easier to make than they look and the results are so cool! They gave my living room a serious face lift. I especially love how the light shines through them. Simple Custom Tablecloth - Here's another great no-sew project. It's so simple to make the finished project is sharp. I think it would be a cool housewarming gift. Find the tutorial here.

No-Sew Child's Play Mat - I had WAY too much creating this. I really had to reign myself in, because I just wanted to keep adding cool felt details but I wanted the finished product to be simple and uncomplicated. And now, a few of my very favorite outtakes. I just can't resist adding a few pictures of the boys to most of my posts. This blog is a close as I get to scrapbooking so please humor me.

I've got to be honest, I created these during an especially busy time and at one point I got a little overwhelmed. I took a moment to sit, covered in paint and trying to beat the fading light, and I had a good cry. Not a sad cry, but a happy one. I never imagined that someday I would get paid to craft, and better yet, teach others how to create. It's the dream job I didn't know existed. The Internet is a lot of things to lot of people, but as cheesy as this sounds, to me it's a place where dreams can come true. Blogging is hard work and there are certainly easier ways to make a buck, but I love it and I'm so very grateful to be helping support my family with something I feel proud of.
