What South Baltimore Eateries Should be Featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives?

While watching some episodes of Food Network’s Diner’s, Drive-Ins and Dives last weekend we got to thinking, if Guy Fieri asked us to show him the “Taste of South Baltimore,” what three restaurants would we take him to? South Baltimore has a lot of great places to eat, so we posed the question on Facebook and received 24 responses.

The most popular choice with six mentions was Annoula’s SoBo Café in Federal Hill, known for making all of their delicious food from scratch. Barracudas Tavern in Locust Point and HomeSlyce in South Baltimore/Riverside came in just behind with five mentions each.

Abbey Burger Bistro and Nick’s Oyster Bar were mentioned four times each. Regi’s American Bistro, Baba’s Mediterranean Kitchen, LP Steamers, and Captain Larry’s were mentioned three times each. And, Shoyou Sushi, Blue Grass Tavern, Pop Tacos, and Brendali Italian Ristorante were mentioned twice each.

Bruce Lee’s Wings, HarborQue, Mad River, Miguel’s Cocina y Cantina, Tuscan Fresh, Spoons Café, Hersh’s, Byblos Lebanese Cuisine, City Limits, Himalayan House, Park Bench Pub, Mother’s Grille, Don’t Know, Blue Agave Restaurant, 1157 Kitchen Bar, Mikie’s, Cross Street Kabob House, Hilltop Pizza & Subs, and Our House were all also mentioned once in the various responses.

South Baltimore will soon have a restaurant that has been featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives as Blue Moon Café is opening its second location this year in Federal Hill. Hopefully more SoBo restaurants will be featured soon!
