THEY CALL ME HOMMEWRECKER

Hey bbys! It's been almost two weeks and I've been slowly slipping into candy store madness, but I've also got some super-exciting things on the backburner that I can't really blast all over the internet yet (which will now make everything super-embarrassing if they don't pan out because I brought them up but WHAT EVER!) I feel phenomenal, though. I finally got some sleep for the first time in FOREVER these past few days. Something about pulling three consecutive all-nighters and trying to survive on Reese's cups, tater tots, and 1-star mexican cuisine does a real number on the body. But hey, at least I'm eating, right?! Also, I'm three months away from my last day of high school FOREVER!!! Afterwards, I'm planning to either go off to Harvard and study law and say things about orange not being the new pink (jk I'm not doing any of that) or retreat to the woods and live as an animal (jk I'm not doing that either jk I might).

So this post was originally going to be a review on the Hermès Fall 2012 RTW collection that debuted yesterday because I LOVED it. Did you love it? I loved it. But I've been getting a little review-crazy lately, so I wanted to spice things up with something I haven't done in a while: A NEW LOOK! I've shown you guys my polished side with the first two, rocking my bowties and vests and using Lana Del Rey lyrics to describe them, but I wanted to take a left turn with this next one, which leads me into a hilarious story. So, back in November when I first started posting, I was going to open my blog with a look. I wanted to really go over-the-top with it, do something completely anti-posh and anti-Niemetz. Think pastel pinks, baby blues, holiday sweaters, and a fuzzy lion backpack. I wound up deciding to go with something closer to the Niemetz you all know and LUV, but I've been wanting to do something a little grittier for sometime now. And what better way to do that than by being a HOMMEWRECKER?

H&M wayfarers, Secondhand ring (as scarf slide), Chanel silk scarf, Calvin Klein shirt, Calvin Klein leather jacket, Aldo rosary (as bracelet), Ben Sherman woven belt, H&M slacks, Anarchic boots
I'm normally not HUGE on H&M because I like my quality/luxe, but I've found it to be good for 3 things: properly fitted slacks (because Banana Republic really doesn't want my butt to look cute), cheap costume jewelry (because I have a serious problem with taking off my accessories and leaving them, which is why I don't do a lot of jewelry), and cheap sunglasses (because I wind up putting my sunglasses in my manbag in groups of 4 and burying them under a laptop). This look gave me a 4th reason to not snub my nose at H&M: cheap and easy insta-90's look!!! I feel like one of the lost boys †††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††††

I've had this thing lately for silk scarves and trying to find all these freaky new ways to wear them. 75% of the time, they look really awkward and make my neck look 3x fatter, but every once in a while, I feel like I get it right and make it look super cute (as seen above). Is it an oxymoron to do a look like this and call any part of it "super cute"? It took about 3 hours of wearing the ring as a slide for it to grow on me, but I like the rhinestones. I mean, come on. Of course I like the rhinestones.

I love this rosary so hard and I think I'm loving it more and more because it's getting closer and closer to the end of it's lifespan. I had the exact same one before buying this, but I left it with a friend and it just never came home, so I had to replace it. I might replace this when it finally breaks into a million pieces or I might GTFO of my comfort zone and buy something different. Or not. Maybe. Idk.

Speaking of dead clothes, these boots are officially DONE. This was their final send-off. The left sole has almost completely removed itself again after my 3rd attempted super glue fix and I think it's time to kiss them goodbye. These were my first real pair of boots, acquired during my xXxSCENE KIDxXx phase as Spencer Sacrilege (add me on myspace xoxo jk its gone) in the 7th grade, they've been two sizes too small for about 3 years now, they hurt my toes, they take forever to take on and off, and I love them like children. XOXO R.I.P. BOOTS :'(

Shooting this look also provided me with the MOST HIPSTER PICTURE I'VE EVER TAKEN!!! I mean, come on, this is so Tumblrific I just want to reblog triangles until I puke. I couldn't NOT use this one for my Lookbook post. Is it how it feels to be Molly Soda? Can I just be Molly Soda? I bet Molly Soda doesn't have to buy groceries. Molly Soda probably eats glitter .gifs for breakfast.

This look was titled after the newest Marina & the Diamonds song to be released from her upcoming 2nd album, Electra Heart. I'm so completely stoked for this album, you have no idea. Like, you have to see her live to get it. She wore an American flag outfit and I got to meet her after the show and I think I said something really stupid and she is so pretty and dgdsjkgjdk. Listen below.

Leave me a comment and let me know if you will hang around behind buildings with me and let me eat your soul xoxo
