A Weekend With the Boys

Happy Sunday friends!

Hope you’re having a spectacular weekend! Ours has been magnificent so far even though we really haven’t done anything too exciting. We’ve just been living up the weekend since weekends have a whole new meaning with a full time job. Ha.

Let’s see. Runs as of late. Friday it was a particularly dark walk to the workout room.

I managed to pick up the pace and do 5 miles around 7:04 on the treadmill after a few warm up miles and then hung out on there for a few cool down miles to finish yet another cute movie.

The Way Way Back. Seriously, super cute. I don’t know how I keep finding these fun movies.

Yesterday I taught boot camp. My favorite move we did was squats with a should press with the Ultimate Sandbag.

Squat with the bag behind your back then do a should press as you come up and bring it to your chest with the next squat. We did them continuously for a minute in one of our circuits.

STUFT Daddy got a “hall pass” Friday night and went out with some friends so I traded him to go for a run Saturday morning. Sounds like a fair trade, right?

My run was a bit of a struggle from the start, but I kept going. I never really got into it, but by the end I was really glad I did it.

Not every run is great and some of them are just a suckfest right from the get go, but it’s always brilliant when it’s done. Not to mention, then when you really have a great run, it just makes it that much better.

I’m really loving the Mizuno Wave Inspire 11 shoes by the way. I don’t only love the look better than the 10s, but they feel a bit better too.

Today I’m resting and resetting to be ready to take on the week.

IN other weekend news, Friday was just one of those days that I was ridiculously excited all day for the weekend.

Not a bad view from my driving on Friday, huh?

After work the boys and I had big plans to go to the movies. We saw Big Hero 6.

It was awesome. The boys loved it, I cried and we all learned a little life lesson. It was perfect.

This picture was taken about 30 seconds before a minor collision between the two of them and a major bloody nose. It’s a good thing I carry baby wipes with me everywhere. Ha.

Since Daddy was gone we made the best of our night.

Ha. I actually got the boys down to bed and sat and watched Parenthood with wine and dinner. It was perfect.

I had a big huge mess of roasted veggies topped with marinara and a whole little loaf of that Trader Joe’s Whole Wheat Pane bread made up as garlic bread.

Obviously I was not alone.

Ha.

Oh and I received a very special package from Arctic Zero just the other day.

I haven’t had my hands on any of these for so long, it was like Christmas. They have brand new packaging. The flavors and nutrition is the same, but the packaging is new. Gluten free, fat free, high fiber, lactose free, GMO free….. the list goes on. It’s pretty darn good stuff.

And let’s just be honest, I’m a pint at a time kind of girl.

It’s just darn better right out of the container.

This morning was a sleep in day. You know, until 5:45 am. Ha. It was raining and we all had a little early morning snuggle time. Then the boys and decided we needed to go on a secret spy mission.

Obviously it led us to the donut store.

It was perfect.

Our butler tried to take credit for the donuts. That’s just silly. I’m still waiting for the day he actually drives and brings home some Starbucks or dinner or something.

Maybe I need to pay him more.

Okay I’m off. We’ve got a busy day of chores planned since someone isn’t stepping up to do his job. Hope you’re having a great weekend!

See you tomorrow with a giveaway! Woot!

What have you been doing this weekend?
