Slouchy Chic

I want to wear an outfit like this one every day. Seriously, every day. It really doesn’t get much more comfortable than drawstring pants and a sweatshirt, and the combination also has that slouchy cool appeal that I can’t resist. I bought the pants and this sweatshirt on the same shopping trip, and when I got home and unpacked my haul, I realized I unknowingly purchased an outfit that was sure to be a new favorite. And, it totally is.
When it came to accessories, I considered something neutral to pair with the bold print of the pants. But then I was reminded of Todd Selby, who recently visited my office to discuss his latest book Fashionable Selby. He admitted to subscribing to a “more is more” aesthetic at an early age, and his latest book is a tribute to his appreciation for the eccentric. And as I listened to him speak of these amazingly unique individuals, I felt inspired to push it a little more. So when I turned to my closet, I decided to wear silver shoes and a metallic blue bag (that almost matches my hair). Have I mentioned that I love this outfit?
