4 Fun-Filled Treats With Pepsi Next!

On a recent trip to LA I rediscovered my love of ice cream sodas. When I was a girl these creamy, fizzy treats were the ultimate indulgence. So when a bottle of the new Pepsi Next arrived at TSI headquarters I knew it was time to have some fun. Of course you can enjoy an ice cold glass of Pepsi Next straight up but that would be way too boring for me so I decided to get creative. This is what happened.

ICE CREAM SODA

Pepsi Next contains 30 percent less sugar than regular Pepsi making it the perfect guilt-free treat. That is if you don’t count the lashings of ice cream you’ll need to make a killer ice cream soda. Anyway, I’ve always been an everything-in-moderation kind of girl so what’s wrong with an ice cream soda (or three) between friends right?

ICE CREAM SODA

Ingredients

Pepsi Next

Ice Cream

Straws

Method

To make this old-fashioned treat simple drop a scoop of vanilla ice cream into a glass, add your favourite fizzy drink and stir like crazy until your glass is brimming with creaming deliciousness.

Enjoy!

VANILLA POLAR BEARS

Next up I decided to create a creamy, vanilla treat by adding a slurp of vanilla syrup and a dash of cream to taste.

FROZEN PEPSI CUPS

These simple summery treats are always a huge hit with my boys and they are really easy to make too. Simply pour Pepsi Next into paper or plastic cups and pop them in the freezer. Before they are fully set poke popsicle sticks into them or anything you have handy – paddle pop sticks, wooden chopsticks broken in half or even a teaspoon.

PEPSI NEXT JELLY

My eleven-year-old son Guy said this was “the best jelly I’ve ever tasted” which is a pretty good endorsement if you ask me.

PEPSI NEXT JELLY

Ingredients:

1 packet of jelly crystals (I used lime)

1 1/2 cups of Pepsi Next

Method

Place the Pepsi Next in a bowl and microwave on high until it starts boiling. Place the jelly crystals in a separate bowl and pour the boiling Pepsi in to them and stir with a fork until all the crystals have dissolved.

Place two layers of tin foil in a small container (I used a tupperware container) making sure to leave enough foil up the sides of the container to pull the jelly out once it has set. Pour jelly into the container and cool before placing in the fridge to set.

Once set (this will take about 4-5 hours) cut into cubes and enjoy.
