From The Bride…When I first started planning my wedding, I thought I wanted it to be grandiose and lavish. But as I dived more into the planning process, I ended up leaning more towards something that was organic and intimate. I wanted this wedding to show our personalities and just wanted all our guests to have a good time. It combined a neutral palette, rustic details, and a little bit of a vintage flair. I wanted all the details to be cohesive while being timeless and elegant.

After booking my wedding venue, I wanted the decor to play along with the rustic vineyard and ‘Tuscan Villa’ estate. I didn’t want to over-do it with decor, so that the guests could soak in the gorgeous venue and scenery. I only wanted to complement the beauty of the estate. To keep with the neutral palette and rustic aesthetic, I kept the florals cream and green. The hanging lanterns were the perfect touch to the dinner table. Lavender details were placed throughout my wedding. They were used in our wedding invitations, cocktails tables, sprinkled under the escort cards, and placed on each table setting. I also wanted to add personal touches into our favors. The guests really enjoyed our “spread the love” strawberry jam favors and custom “you strike my fancy” matchboxes. They were both functional and a good keepsake to remember our special day.

My advice to all the brides out there would be…be organized! I had a timeline planned out with certain ‘to do’s’ and a lot of lists! Crossing things off my list kept me sane and a step closer to being done planning the wedding. Also, another advice would be to stick to your own style. Adding personal details make your wedding unique and intimate.

I really enjoyed getting ready with my bridesmaids and they loved their beautiful robes I gifted them. My husband and I decided we were going to exchange wedding gifts during our first look. He knew I was going to get him a Breitling watch, but he totally surprised me with a Cartier Love bracelet.

I put so much hard work into planning the wedding. There’s a lot of details and seeing my vision come to life was a huge highlight. All the decor from the ceremony to the reception was really thought-out and turned out as beautiful as how I pictured. However, the wind was something I couldn’t control that day. Being in a canyon on a hilltop definitely didn’t help the wind factor. My veil was flying everywhere, but I held it together and still enjoyed the day! My husband and I loved dancing the night away with our close friends and family. Everyone had a good time and that’s all that mattered to us!
