celebrate spring with this mind-blowing "landscape" photograph series by steven back. many of these were photographed at Hutt Lagoon in Australia, which is actually pink in real life due to carotenoid-producing algae. the more, hm, salty-textured ones were photographed at salt flats near Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. science rules.
