Zoya Tiana Swatches & Review (Swatch And Learn)

There are plenty of mint-green nail polishes on the market.

Many pastel greens are streaky or need to be babied to get smooth results, but not so with Zoya Tiana from the Delight Collection! (It doesn’t streak. It keeps its clothes on!)

This is a polish that I wore several weeks ago. Finally, today it gets the spotlight on the blog!

(I did reader-requested green comparison posts in 2013 and this year, which illustrated the different nuances of some popular picks: here and here. This was before Zoya Tiana found its way to Swatch And Learn’s headquarters.)

I was extremely impressed by its opacity and smooth coverage. (I only used two coats to achieve the opaque coverage you see in my photos in this post!)

Zoya Tiana has climbed the nail-polish ladder, and it’s one of my all-time favourite light greens.

Zoya Tiana Review

Colour

A fresh light green, Tiana by Zoya sure does have a spring feel to it. It’s breezy without looking pale and anemic, and it doesn’t make my fingers succumb to the dreaded Lobster Hands Effect (where some pale greens make my hands look exceptionally red).

Although the green is crisp, it’s not stark. There’s a softness to it that makes it more like a sweet mint rather than a harsh Altoid.

(Side note: During boring lectures in university, I used to pop Altoids to keep myself awake. They are such intense mints and worked well for this purpose. Hehe, back then, I didn’t drink coffee or really any beverage that had caffeine, so I relied on popping mints during class when I felt like propping my eyelids open with toothpicks.)

Finish

Tiana by Zoya has a creamy finish that looks wonderfully glossy, not chalky at all.

Application & Formula

As I mentioned in the introduction, this nail polish has an exceptional formula that isn’t typical of pale greens.

I expected it to be streaky, and I was willing to do as many coats as needed to achieve a great manicure, so I was pleasantly surprise when even the first coat covered better than I imagined. Then, with a second, my little green heart sang!

If you’ve tried pastel-green polishes in the past and had disappointing results, I highly recommend you give this one a go. It’ll show you that they’re not all created equally. Some, like Tiana by Zoya, were clearly touched by the magical fairy’s wand.

Not the wildest colour available (but not every shade needs to enter the mental ward, right?)

If you’re a green fiend and you enjoy sporting light green manicures or pedicures, you’ve got to try Zoya Tiana because of the smooth, opaque formula that’s a real winner!
